Our dream is walking 7000 miles across Africa, and our vision is that we could raise millions of dollars; knowing that $20 gives someone clean water for 20 years.

It's going to require training, determination, endurance, strength and a whole lot of encouragement.There will be times when we get sick, or break down, lose strength, don't know if we can go on.

But whenever we get discouraged in our training, we think of the millions of women and children who have to walk miles each day to retrieve water for their families, we think of how most of that hard-earned water isn't even clean and can infect people with deadly diseases. We think about how 45,000 people die each day from waterborne illnesses. And then we think about how we can change that reality for them.

And then... yes. We know we can do it, and we know that it will be worth it, no matter how hard it gets. But we need your help.

Our goal is to raise $8,000,000 for water projects. Because of charity: water's unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to water projects, and each donation is "proved" using Google Earth when projects are complete. You can pledge per mile, you can give a lump sum, or you can just donate whatever and whenever you want.

We've never done anything like this before. Actually only a handful of people have ever even attempted to do what we are doing. But we are excited to have this opportunity and promise to do it as safely as possible, and keep you updated.

We know we can achieve our dream of walking across Africa; but in completing our vision of giving people clean water that will last for years and years, that's where we need your help.
