In Mike's words...
Last year I was pleased to help out the @wellwishes campaign that collected $25,000 for clean water through Twitter. This year I'm pleased to be part of the effort again. Just about all of the software developers I know are privileged people, and many of us have been having an excellent fourth quarter. This is a great time to turn some of that money to good use - and it's hard to think of a better use than no-overhead clean drinking water to save lives.
