Quench My Thirst

While I firmly believe that the greatest mission field we could ever work is in our local community, I also believe that we should help positively impact our global community.

As we go day to day living our busy lives, taking much of what we have for granted, millions of people struggle to get the basic necessities.

This year I will be launching several campaigns to help those that are less fortunate. This is one of those campaigns.

When was the last time you had a drink of water? If you get thirsty, how difficult would it be for you to get a drink? Imagine not having running water in your home, in your neighborhood, or in your city. Imagine there is no corner store with bottled water for you to buy. What if you had to walk to the nearest river, fill up as many jugs as you could carry, take them back to your home to give water to your family? Could you handle the trip?

Water is life. Water-borne illness is the second highest cause of childhood death in the world. When water is unsafe and sanitation non-existent, water can kill. Access to clean water does more than just save lives, it can turn lives around.

What's small to us can be huge to someone who lacks basic health necessities. For example, just $20 is enough for one person to have clean water for two decades.

So, this year, I'm asking all of my friends and family to donate money to help build a well. I'm also asking you to ask your friends to help in this effort. 100% of all funds raised go directly to the water projects.

Between now and Valentines Day, I aim to raise $5,000 in my charity: water campaign to help a community get clean water.

Jesus sacrificed himself for me. This is the least I can do. Help me bring a gift of love to those in need.
