In Amber's words...

If you're here, thank you. Thank you just for clicking on the link, however you may have found it.

If you have not come here from my website, then know that I run a blog for children and families that is usually filled with silly poems and funny stories. My blog is free, and instead of asking for personal donations I ask for donations to my water project.

One out of every 6 people in the world does not have access to clean water. It tears my heart up imagining what I would feel if every time my daughter asked for a cup of water I knew I was literally pouring death down her throat. I don't want to sound depressing, but 4,500 children die every day from lack of clean water, and that's just the awful truth. Look at the pictures above to get a bit of a glimpse of the joy $20 or $50 or $5,000 can bring.

Please join me in providing ONE clean water well for a community of 250 people. 250 people who can fill their baby's bellies with LIFE when they come in thirsty after a long day of play.

My campaign is limited to three months, so it ends in April. I have always wanted to raise enough money for one well, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make it to my goal. I've decided failure is better than not trying!

So if you can give up Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts or Eight o' Clock for one day or one week or one month, please consider giving that money to charity: water and let's see what we can do together!
