On April 13, Aristocat + I (Sleeper) will attempt to run 100 miles over 4 days, directly to DJ at a special invite event outside Coachella, one of the largest music festivals in the nation.

We'll be running through scorching deserts and mountain terrain during crazy summer heat. A bus where we rest + eat will meet us at certain check points with live video feed. The DJ sets will also be broadcast live.

Our goal is two-fold: raise $50,000 for Charity Water and show the world the physical potential of the average person. We are the farthest thing from a finely tuned athlete and neither of us has ever ran a marathon.

This run is inspired by the book Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. We're all born to run!

Why charity: water?
charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Many people in the developing world, usually women and children, walk more than three hours every day to fetch water that is likely to make them sick. Of the 42,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water and a lack of basic sanitation, 90% are children under 5 years old.

4,500 children will die TODAY from water related diseases.

This is ridiculous.

Just $20 can give one person in a developing nation clean water for 20 years. $50,000 will save 500 families, 2,500 people.

100% of all donations go directly to water projects, funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need. Each donation is "proved" with GPS when projects are complete. You'll see exactly where your money is saving lives.

April 18 update!
We have ran 80 miles! Aristocat has a blister spreading across the entire front of his foot, my feet are gargantuan, & we simply ran out of time before our DJ set at Vestal Village on Friday. Definitely going to finish the 20 miles this week, stay tuned!

In the meantime, everyone at Coachella can catch us DJing at the Red Bull Energy Oasis between Mojave and Sahara, 4-6pm today.

June 4 update!
Aristocat + I are planning one final run to close out our fund-raising campaign!

It will be in Los Angeles, between 10-15 miles, and it'll be a route that'd never been done before. We want as many other people to run with us as possible. Stay tuned for details! WE ARE BORN TO RUN!
