In John's words...
Wow. What a perfect gift for my 40th. It's very tough to support work in the CAR, so when I saw this campaign and how it perfectly connects with my big birthday, I had to get involved.
As many of you know, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Central African Republic from May of 1995 through June of 1996 when the country erupted in violence and I was evacuated by the French Foreign Legion and the US Marines. The CAR has not returned to peace since, and the situation remains extremely sad. I have not been able to return or to help, so please join me in providing some clean water to the people who live in one of the last pristine rainforests on earth. |
