We are so excited to try to raise money for a well in honor of Teagan!

We can only imagine the desperate circumstances that led his first family to leave him at age two, wrapped in only a tattered sheet, severely malnourished and too weak to even lift his own head. Although we will never know exactly what happened, we have no doubt that the lack of clean water in Ethiopia was a major contributing factor. There are absolutely no clean water sources in the area that Teagan was born in and healthy pregnancies without clean water is unimaginable. We now know that his brain development was severely affected in utero by an infection resulting in his current disabilities. There is no way that he would be alive today if his first family had continued to try to care for him under the conditions they were living in. His story could have been so different if his family had access to clean water.

The fact that Teagan survived is a miracle. He lights up the world with his abundant joy and infectious smile. We have faith that with his fighting spirit, he will overcome his challenges. But we can not forget the children still living in areas without clean water and the parents who are trying to raise them.
