Clean water changes everything!

You probably don't event have to think twice when you're thirsty and grab a can of La Croix from the kitchen fridge at work.

The BV:Water Team is convinced that dirty water is the root of much of the bad things in this world.

We have seen first hand how a teacher in Malawi stops class multiple times a day to walk for hours to get water for her students. We have seen kids everywhere carrying 40-lb yellow jerry cans full of water (see our photo above).

But 1 BILLION (with a 'B') people around the world still don't have access to clean water.

-- Lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
-- 4100 children die daily from water-borne illnesses!
-- Women and girls spend 150 million hours a day carrying water, often in 40-lb yellow jerry cans, from unsafe water sources.
-- Every $1 invested in clean water yields $4 - $12 in economic lift.
