A couple of years ago, family and friends helped me raise $300 for mycharitywater.org, through the campaign "Jingle Wells."

I later found out that the money went to Meara Elementary School in Ethiopia and helped improve their sanitation. I'm so excited that we were able to help improve the conditions at the school! (Here's a link for more information about it: http://mycharitywater.org/danasease)

This year, my Christmas wish is to raise even more money--at least $500 this time--to help fund another water project.

I've seen first-hand how appreciative people in developing nations are when they finally have clean water.

In April, I had the opportunity to help a non-profit organization in Sri Lanka clean wells in a rural community. (The picture above is one of my fantastic team!) My teammates and I actually jumped into the well as the dirty water was pumped out, and were given coconut shells(!?) to scrub off the walls! True story.

While I'm not sure exactly what project "Jingle Wells Round 2" will help fund, I know for sure that it will be important and worthwhile. I'm passionate about doing something about the world's water crisis, and I encourage you to watch the video on the right to learn more.

I would love it if you could help me provide clean water to people who truly need it. I can't think of a better Christmas present...can you?
