Hey! This is Mike Feil from Empowered Tribe and I'm sure you know that the world is a mess.

People are sick. Starving. Poor. Destitute. Every day I read or hear about it in the news. There are so many people that need help. There are so many needs, so many good causes.

All of us at the Empowered Tribe have had it pretty good in life. We don't want to sit by and just do nothing, so we picked one cause we think everyone can agree on. We're working to give people something they absolutely cannot do without - the most basic of health needs.

We're working to give people clean drinking water.

More than a billion people don't have access to safe drinking water. I don't mean that their pipes don't work; I mean that they have to walk hours each day to collect dirty water from stagnant ponds and muddy rivers. And the crazy thing is that for so many people, like for us here, clean water runs in lakes under their homes and village. But they don't have the drilling equipment or the money to reach it.

Just $5,000 builds a well to serve a community of 250 people. Our goal is to raise $5,000 towards a well in the next three months.

There's a lot of need in the world. I'm starting here. Will you join me?

On March 27, 2010 we are doing something cool. No, I take that back. We're doing something extraordinary. We're teaming up with Raven Starre and hosting a Charity Water Fundraiser at her house in San Diego, CA. This party is limited to 80 people and the Empowered Tribe knows a little more than 80 people (we're over the 100,000 mark on Twitter alone).

So we don't want you to miss out on the action if you can't make it to our event. Can I count on you to give at least $20 to Charity Water to help us reach our $5,000 goal so at least one village can have a well to get clean water?
