Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty.
Unfortunately, around the world millions of people spend much of their lives walking miles to water sources, hauling contaminated water back to their families, and suffering from preventable illnesses like worms, dysentery or other diarrheal diseases.
After learning more about charity: water's work and how they efficiently use donated funds, I thought that we at FunTrivia could do our own small part to make the lives of a small number of people easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to build clean water projects for people in need. More specifically: for only $5000, we will be able to fund the drilling of one ground-water pump that can service up to 250 people in a developing nation.
The great thing about donating to charity: water is that 100% of our money goes directly to the water projects, and when the projects are finished, they'll show us the communities we've helped. The pump we fund will be labelled with our name, we will receive photos of it, and GPS coordinates of its location.
Water is anything but trivial. Please join us in our goal to make a difference.
