Dear Friends,

About a year ago, a friend introduced me to a very cool organization that helps bring clean, safe, fresh water to people who don't have any. The moment I started researching, I was so touched by what Charity:Water is doing, I wanted to be a part of it.

Come December, 21 I'll spend eight nights lighting an important candle. Every year, I'm reminded of why these days matter: because by a miracle, oil for one day burned long enough to last eight days. As with many things in life, a little proved to go a long way.

When I found out that more than a billion people live without clean, safe water every day, I realized Hanukkah was the perfect time to start a campaign to help change this. With charity: water, a little can go a very long way -- just $20 can give someone access to clean drinking water. This is a small amount of cash to us. It is years of life for others.

My goal? I want to raise $1,000 by the time Hanukkah reaches us this year. But I need your help. 100% of every dollar raised will go toward building water projects in developing countries. And when the projects are finished (about 18 months), charity: water will show us just which communities were impacted with GPS coordinates, photos and other details.

Together, we'll be able to see what we've accomplished.
