Hey Friends and Fam!

Most of us have no clue what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink - even the water in our toilets is clean! A lot of people I talk to don't even understand how you can "waste" or "run out" of water because we are rarely educated about this subject.

However, many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to go down like that. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

I started this fundraising campaign, and three others like it in past years, to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

In 2011 my campaign "Like Water for Chocolate (Wells for Ethiopia)" helped fun a rig in Ethiopia that can drill 80 wells a year. Just one well can help 1,000 people have fresh drinking water for up to 15 years. That's 80,000 people WE helped. One dollar at a time.

We need to join together to help end world thirst and respect and honor people by allowing them to have something so human, so natural, that we take for granted every single day.

We also need more awareness surrounding privatization and the companies and governments that are exploiting our basic human rights. There is a lot to be done. Lets be generous today and help out, then spread the word. Lets watch documentaries like Blue Gold and Flow, then share it with everyone we know.
