An 18th birthday is a big deal. You can go to the club now. You can buy cigarrettes now. You are now legally an adult.
This year, I chose to highlight my last point: adulthood.
Rather than asking for things like I do every other year, I am suggesting that you help The Happy Thirstday Project in supplying 50 people with water in developing countries around the world. You don't have to give anything but support if finances won't permit. Post this link on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, what have you.
If you haven't watched the video to the right, do it. Take into account the convenience that clean water is in the United States. Donate whatever you can to make this luxury a reality in places like Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Give a dollar. Two. Whatever you would spend on a bottled water for yourself.
It's that easy. It would be the happiest birthday yet if you'd help me reach The Project's goal of $1000.
