I'm 21--I can drink alcohol legally, but millions of people struggle find clean water. Let's make a difference.
Now that I'm turning 21, I think it's time I really take a look around me and face the realities of the world around me. I can drink legally in the US, but millions of people are struggling to find something I take for granted every day: clean water.
This will be the 4th year that I've donated my birthday to charity: water, but the reality is: It's never enough. Water is just one of the many, many luxuries I take for granted. Please help me make a difference.
I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
Happy birthday to me! and happy clean water to someone who deserves it.
Most I could afford, wish I could give more.
