If you know me, then you know that birthdays are never really a big deal to me. I've never liked the attention, to be honest.

In any case, I'm turning 28 years old this year, and in lieu of the Facebook well-wishes, birthday cards, and offers to take me out to celebrate........I'm asking everyone to help me raise money to help build freshwater wells for people in developing nations instead.

"A billion people in the world are living without clean water. Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 45,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still walk hours each day to get dirty water to give to their families."

We all take clean water for granted, being so fortunate to live here in the USA. Imagine what your life would be like without safe, clean water. Just take 10 seconds, and consider it.

My birthday has never really mattered to me. But this year, I want to make my birthday mean something....to someone else whose life depends on it.

So it's quite simple, family and friends. However much money that you all end up raising, I will personally MATCH IT from my own savings. If you end up raising $100, that's great; I'll throw in a Benjamin and match it. If you end up raising $1000, then I'll hold off on buying that new laptop and match it.

And if y'all end up exceeding all of my wildest expectations and raise $2500................then I'll be a very, very happy man because with that $5000 total, we will be able to fund a well project that will serve 250 people on the other side of the world!

So please, help me help others. I don't need/want the attention. But others do.
