For quite some time God has been working on this stubborn heart of mine, asking me some tough questions. Most of you know I don't mind asking some tough questions of my own, so one of the things I've been asking God lately is why He allows so much suffering in the world? And like He did Job, God quickly responded, yeah, why do you (and all my other children) allow so much suffering? Ouch. Then the Holy Spirit began to bring the words of Jesus to me.... things like "Love your neighbor" (Matthew 22:39)," "do to others as you would have them do to you" (Matthew 7:12), and "sell what you possess and give to the poor" (Matthew 19:21). Double Ouch!
The enemy would not stand passively by and let a Jesus follower move into action, he quickly pointed out how ridiculous it is for one person to hope to have any impact on what is surely insurmountable needs....
If you are like me, on some level, you've believed that lie. The lie that says the need is so great that we can't really make a difference, so why even try? It's not true. When our hearts are set toward the things God's heart is set toward, nothing is impossible (Matthew 19:26) (Phillipians 4:13)

So after hearing many stories about women and children having to walk many hours every day to get a few gallons of dirty, contaminated water just to try and survive, I began researching water projects . What I found was that there were many, many good people and organizations that are doing this kind of work. I chose charity: water for a number of reasons, but the one that stuck out to me the most was that 100% of your donation directly funds clean water projects in developing nations. At the completion of this project, at least 275 people will have access to clean drinking water that didn't have it before. Praise God!

Matthew 10:42 says "And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

We know God answers prayer, but have you ever thought that God could use you and me to be His answer to someones prayer? Someone is praying right now for clean water.
We are blessed to be a blessing.
Together we can make a difference.
God is with us.

I know you may have already participated in something like this, and if so, you know the joy that comes from blessing others. Praise God for your faithfulness and your willingness to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Please pray and ask God if you are supposed to partner with Him in this effort to bring clean drinking water in the name of Jesus to those in need.
How you love people IS how you love God.
