goal
On October 28, I'm turning 33.
No big deal. Just another birthday, right?
But, for some a birthday is a huge deal. Millions of people don't have access to clean, safe water. That means they don't know if they will have a next birthday, they're not even sure if they'll have a next week.
So while my birthday may not be a big deal to me - it could, through charity: water, be a big deal for others.
I'm asking for $33 from everyone I know -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
My goal is to raise $3,300 for my birthday! That's a mere hundred dollars for every year I've been alive.
Please join me to make this birthday count.
happy birthday
Happy Birthday Rene.... you are inspiring with all you do; thanks for letting me be a part of it.
Happt birthday Renee! I love what you're doing! XOXO!
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday Rene, both Camilla and I wish you all the best in achieving your goal. The thought of losing our little girl Charlie because of a lack of clean water is abhorrent. 780 million people in the world still have no access to clean water... crazy!!
