With over 50 students we can raise our goal of $5000 if every student raises at least $100 dollars. Big goal? You bet. But it's for a great cause. If we raise $5000 we can build a well in a village that has never had clean, sustainable water. With our contribution 250 people will have access to clean water.

What do students have to do? Practice! Students will take pledges based on the number of hours practiced over a two week period. Donors can pledge per hour practiced or donate a flat amount. Students range from 30 minutes to 3 hours per week on average.

Why are we doing this? As a teacher, any way to encourage practice is a no-brainer. If I can also teach students that they can not only be aware of problems across the world, but also solve them through their hard work and determination I have planted a seed that will ripen and grow throughout their life. We can make a difference in the lives of a whole community. All we have to do is practice.
