As many of you know, we here at Shopaholla have great conviction about helping out those in need. Success, by our definition, is not just how much money we make. Instead we feel it is the impact we have on our community, our customers and ultimately the world. We truly value this opportunity we have and one way we feel like that is possible is through the organization charity: water. If you have worked with Shopaholla over the past couple of years, this is a name that should sound familiar. With this being said, we are excited to announce that we will once again be partnering with charity: water to raise money, so that those without clean drinking water can have this wonderful privilege that so many of us take for granted. For one week, we at Shopaholla will be donating 50% of our profit from theme sales to charity: water. And we are not stopping there, we will continue to donate through the end of 2013. But we need your help as well! This year we are aiming high. Our mission is to raise $10,000, giving clean drinking water to an entire community in need.

WHY WATER?

800 million people are living without clean drinking water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond.
Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren't strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses.
90% of the 30,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water and unhygienic living conditions are in children under five years old.
The WHO reports that over 3.6% of the global disease burden can be prevented simply by improving water supply, sanitation, and hygiene.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY DONATIONS?

Transparency is very important to both charity: water and Shopaholla. Here are a few notes on what happens with money donated to our campaign:
100% of every dollar donated will go directly to water projects. Every $1 invested in improved water supply and sanitation can yield from $4 to $12 for the local economy, depending on the type of project. When the projects are complete, charity: water will show us GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the communities we've helped. We post this information to our website to keep you informed as well. Donations are 100% tax deductible. You'll be emailed a receipt immediately.

WE'RE GIVING AWAY SOME PRIZES.

The first 3 customers to donate $100 or more will receive 1 hour of customization work at no cost. Everyone who donates $25 or more will be entered into a drawing to receive 3 hours of customization work at no cost. Anyone who donates $100 or more will receive any of our themes at no cost. Donate $1,000 or more and win a free 2 hour consultation and 6 hours of customization.
