1.1 billion people don't have access to clean and safe drinking water. For charity: water's September campaign this year, they are looking to put a dent in this number through purchasing a drilling rig that will build 80 wells helping 40,000 people per year in Ethiopia alone.
We (Martha and Zach) are donating our 4th anniversary to help charity: water reach their goal of $1.2 million for a new drilling rig. We need your help.
We're asking you to donate $11 for the date, $40 for our 4th anniversary, or any amount that you can. This anniversary date (November 11th, 2011) is the ultimate 11.11.11 wish, a wish that we are using for clean water. We understand the budget of a college student and that money may be tight, but if you would still like to help then please spread the word about our campaign to family, friends, and community members.
You will be able to track the drilling rig on the ground using GPS once their goal is reached and track the rig for years to come.
We want to translate our love for each other into money to help the millions of people who don't have clean water. We are fortunate enough to have each other and the lives that we have that it is time to gather our friends, our families, and anyone in the world who wants to join us in celebrating our anniversary and fulfilling our wish to provide clean water to children and families in Ethiopia.
