On July 14th, I'm turning 33.

I usually don't really get into the whole birthday thing. I'd perhaps celebrate more if I was getting younger each year, but unfortunately my name isn't Benjamin Button. Well, regardless of that unfortunate fact, i'd like this year to be different.

There are millions of people who don't live to see their fifth birthdays, let alone their 33rd. And why? Because they don't have access to clean, safe water. It's a scary thought that something that we so often take for granted is the difference between life and death for millions around the world. So with that in mind, I'm celebrating my birthday like never before by hopefully making a difference in the life of a community somewhere in the world.

I'm asking for $33, $330, or whatever amount your comfortable with, from everyone I know -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!

My goal is to raise $3300, please join me to make this birthday count.
