On May 12th of this year, I'll be setting out on the Appalachian Trail and hiking the entire thing, from Maine to Georgia. All 2,181 miles, to let people know that there's something they need to hear.
With the help of Project Clearwater at the College of William and Mary, I'm raising money for those who are less fortunate than us; in this case, the nearly one billion people who don't have clean water.
During the five months it will take me to hike the Trail, most of my water will come from springs and streams along the way. I'll have to search it out and purify it every time I need to refill. Each day, I'll walk somewhere between 12 and 16 miles.
What would it be like if you had to walk 14 miles a day, like so many do, just to get dirty water? It's something we take for granted so quickly in developed countries. Help someone drink clean water by donating towards the construction of a well.
Zach, thanks for your heart for others and your example. Jesus' work in your life is so evident.
Your IV brothers and sisters love you!
From the Hogan Family. We Love you Zach!
