I have enough stuff. 800 million people don't have safe, reliable water. Who needs your Christmas gifts more?
The materialistic frenzy of consumption that we call "Christmas" (or, more generically, "the holidays") sickens me. I don't need more stuff, but 800 million people around the world lack something as simple and profound as safe, reliable access to clean water.
So please, instead of giving me something I could have bought for myself if I'd really wanted, donate to my charity:water campaign. 100% of every dollar donated will go directly to water projects. And when the projects are complete, charity:water will show us GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the communities we've helped. Please join me by donating.
