Hi.
Unlike many couples just starting out in marriage, Marjorie and I have had some time to establish ourselves professionally and personally. We both bring a fair amount of accumulated *stuff* to our new life together, and have the resources to get what else we need...
...unlike, say, the nearly one billion people living on this planet who don't have access to safe, clean drinking water. Many of these people live in Africa, which Ian feels a strong connection to from the time he's spent working and traveling there. Many others live in Southeast Asia, where Marjorie has traveled. So, if you feel like doing something generous to celebrate our wedding, please help us build a well in a village that needs one.
We chose $5000 as the target goal of this registry because that's the average cost to build one well. Help us reach this goal and, together, we'll have made a huge and very concrete difference in the lives of dozens or hundreds of people.
Thank you for joining us in this.
Marjorie and Ian
Congratulations to the two of you! I would have contributed earlier if I new about this!
Wishing many blessings for you life together!
